LOL! Just remember, you can read the manual while you are charging the battery. When I got the K100 I already had charged batteries waiting for it, so I started shooting right away. I bought the K10 at lunch time and wanted to start shooting while still at lunch - nope, had to charge the battery.

Post some pictures when you get it.

It charges pretty quick (about an hour) though first time might take a bit longer.

Also if you haven't already you can DL the PDF of the manual to get a head start on learning its intricacies.

I have to admit that when ever I order some photo gear, I tend to track the progress of my package on line until it is delivered. In fact, one afternoon, I called my wife (who was at home) and told her to check the front door since UPS tracking indicated that they had left the package at the door 5 minutes prior to my checking!! It is a sickness

The good news is that the "Wells Fargo Wagon" (i.e. UPS) delivered my new K10 today

The bad news is that the Tamron 70-300 lens that was supposed to be a part of the package was backordered. And, there'll be no on in till Monday who can tell me why, or for how long.

I'll just have to content myself with shooting things that don't fly away for a few days.....

That's not such a bad thing - you can play with the camera and get used to the settings on things that don't move.

My very first shot with the K10...Av mode, f 4.5, ISO 100, 40mm focal length, 1/90th

I was amazed with the difference in DOF between even the kit lens and my Fuji.
