I know Roy, you hate crows but they are too easy and I needed a test subject.

1/125 sec, 70mm @ f/3.5, ISO 200, K10D

Yeah... Somewhere around 2.8 would be my guess too... LOL, just messing with ya Roy.

Tom, Might only be a crow, but I like it... Very lovely bokah, too!

Looks like a good lens to hang onto.

I think Roy was just looking for another crow picture, this time at f/2.8 to see what the lens is capable of compared to the excellent sample Tom provided with it at f/3.5.

I wanted enough DOF for the bird so I dialed 3.5 in P mode, but I will do another at 2.8 tomorrow if the sun comes out.

This is the older version of the Tokina lens, constant 2.8 that I would like to use as a walkaround lens on the DS. I was going to sell it, but the wife likes to use it instead of the Pentax FA* version, which is quite a bit larger, so the sharpness test.

On a full frame camera it is a bit soft at the edges, but it seems with digital APS the center seems quite sharp.

Here is the shot at 2.8, 1/60 sec, sorry about the lighting, but you have to take what you can get and it was overcast.
