Before tennis practice this afternoon, I noticed this fellow sitting on a power pole guy wire. I was just hoping for a good stationary shot when he flew. Not up to the quality of some our experienced bird shooters, but I was excited to get him.

EXIF---- ISO 100, 1/750th sec, f9.5, EV + 0.5, FL 250mm on Tamron 70-300

Oh, oh - another birder in the making. Not bad for a first shot without a lot of preparation - so often in this situation I just capture tail feathers, if I capture anything at all.
