Great shots Jim, really sharp details in those. What lens were you using?

Your lizard is a green anole, the only anole native to the United States. We have them here in Florida too but they are outnumbered by the imported Cuban Anoleswhich do not change color. When I was kid we used the catch either type and let them latch (bite) onto an earlobe, if their feet were not touching anything they would not release their grip (I never said we were particularly bright kids) and this consistently horrified our mothers. Unlike Tom's chameleons their bite is more like a pinch, really not painful and certainly not capable of breaking the skin.

Thanks for the comments.

The lens is a Quantaray 70-300mm with macro. It isn't a great lens, but it can turn out a pretty good photo if I don't push it beyond it's limits.

Thanks for the ID on the lizard. Tried to get somemore this morning of a different one, but only ended up with some almosts.

Cracking shots. I like the compostion of the 3rd one, just a shame the focusing went to pot, but the 1st 2 are magnificent, esp for a fast moving wild lizard.

Well done.
