I really like the ocean shots. My preference is the second frame. The photo seems to stand out. Nicely done.

May I just say that there's really no bad way to do anything & different people have different ideas, BUT I think that you have too many different effects.

Personally, I like to frame the image with a fine black border to make it stand out, then a wider white border with an outer border in a colour to enhance/mount the subject - just like you would have with an old fashioned print.

Here's my rendition with a touch of post processing on the breaking wave.

I tend to like darker borders with this effect

This is an interesting thread! I was thinking of just having the look of old-fashioned pictures posted in an album with my border, but the smaller white border gives the picture a totally different feel - it looks nice with the first one. Roy's beveled frame looks far more formal than mine, another interesting look and changes the whole feel of his picture. It is interesting how borders make a difference to a picture (going to experiment more - this is FUN!).

with this action you get the choice of using colors in the image. i think it accents the pic.

Roy, it is a layer for the frame and background white area that has a open area in the center. Then you can take any image and put it behind the frame and you are good to go.

Roy, you have mail!
