Came down with a case of LBA two weeks ago and purchased a Pentax M F/1.7 50 mm (used) as well as the Sigma 70-300 APO DG (new). I think I am back on the wagon now,...but I sense my resistance weakening over time!Hanging around this forum is not helping.

The lenses by the wayare meeting my expectations very well.

Jay

Here is a sample from the 50mm f/1.7 (no PP).

And here's a sample from the Sigma 70-300mm (no PP except for minor cropping). have Royce to blame for this purchase.

I miss Royce10's bird shots--they were always tack sharp and very well composed. I almost puchased his 70-300 APO when he made the switch from Pentax to Canon.

Very nice pictures, Jay. Looks like you'll be having a great time with your new lenses. That old M 50mm 1.7 is a fun little lens, I prefer mine to the M 50mm 1.4 that had been my fathers. And yes, I miss Royce's pictures also, but I can understand his reasons for switching.

HARRIET???!!! You can do what??? Understand for going to the ...the ...dark side??? LOL! I believe I've seen some shots of his in the "Wildlife" forum & the C*n*n is working well for him & his bird shots. Jay, awesome shots! I recently found a used one on Ebay & love it...much better than Promaster (my1st 300) & the Tamron (my 2nd)...LBA is just the DEVIL!! Oh yeah, Scott...there is a wagon but it's really small & I think it only has 1 wheel so it's VERY EASY to fall off of!!!:G:G:G
