Have a hard time deciding between entry of penolta , gumut and Tom. My vote goes to Tom (TDN St Peters ). Very artistic entry .

I likeHarriet's car garage/building with all its angles.

It is a hard decision, but I think I will go with Tim's old Spanish "castle" because it is hard to find a part of a nontraditional structure to photograph when you don't have full freedom of access. I like the juxtaposition of the tower and wall in light and shadow, and perhaps because I like old things.

Ooh, I finally Have a camera so I can vote

mtngal's parking maze, although 'observer's glass breezeway is a darned close second for me.

My vote goes to TDN with Jelpee's Bridge a close second. Tom that's one hell of a photograph. I'm jealous.

This is a tough one to decide. So many great photos. I like St Peter's, but I think my vote is going to have to go to interested_observer with the convention center. It makes me want to see what the rest of the building looks like.

Tough choice. Not sure yet.

Penolta,

I really like your photo, even more so because I know the subject. The painting is not actually a chapel, but the 'Memorial Chamber' in the Peace Tower at the Parliament buildings in Ottawa. The raisedalter in the center of the hall contains a book containing all the names of the Canadians killed during the first world war. Every day the book is turned to another page. The walls around the hall contain lists of the various battles that Canadian units were involed in. Smaller displays around the room hold books of rememberance containing the names of all the Canadians that have died in conflicts. To enter this hall is to experience the sacrifice that so many others have made, so that we may live in a free country.

More information and pictures can be found here:

Apologies for the thread-jack.

More than one is worth mentioning, but I settle for TDN's/Tom's fine Sint-Pietersplein. A lot of atmosphere and well carried through BW conversion.

As usual, chosing just one has been tough. I am going with Silverstones "Old Homestead."
