Green's Pond Causeway, Newfoundland, Canada.

Looking out to sea here I counted no less than 20+ icebergs off-shore. This is just a little one near shore.

And here is a black and white conversion:

See how many you can count in this picture (taken with a 70mm lens BTW):

You want to send one of those icebergs down here? It's getting hot and expected to get hotter (sigh). I like both the color and b&w versions - I can't decide which I like more.

Though as they say only 1/10 of any of them is above water (the 10% ice expands) Wouldn'd get within 100 ft at least of that with even a shallow draft large boat.

PS nice pics.... reduced web image hard to say but I got up to 9 of them out there.

Neat! I prefer the color version but my favorite is the last one. That is a beautiful little slip of land, I would love to vacation for a week in one of those ocean side cottages.

Tim

More pictures of Green's Pond just posted here (all B&W however). Lots more at my Flickr site http://www.flickr.com/photos/monza76/ and on my blog page http://www.aicphotography.blogspot.com/.

Here are a couple of examples (I have become quite fond of the vertical wide angel shot) :
