a tree in my garden, i hadnt set the date at this time

a bell flower in Kings Park, this is where i realised i didnt have anything that would read the raw files, i ended up installing the Pentax programs but am finding them cumbersome and a bit lacking

a kestrel at a raptor fight display, i found i need a lot more practise at taking moving subjects, this one sat still

taken on a double decker bus tour of Perth
this really tested the antishake, when the bus was stopped it vibrated that much it was hard to see what you were lookng at through the view finder
but it wasnt evident on any photos

Very nice pictures! Looks like it isn't going to take you long to get used to the new camera. The Pentax software is pretty good, even though cumbersome. I found I just turned off a couple of the screens because I didn't use them much.

thanks guys

the taking pictures is easy
its getting used to what settings i need to use
or what settings it is capable of lol

it looks like i will have to get used to the Pentax software
the more i use it the more i will find the best work flow
i accidentally found batch convert and converted 130 files to jpg (the raw are still there)
ooopppsss

Great shots.

While I really like the last one, my favourite is the Kestrel. I love the shots of raptors - the regal look they have.

Congrats on the new camera

Nice shots Gumnut. I found your Kestrel had a lot of detail hiding in the shadows! Jim
