Interesting collection of shells, like the pictures but just have to ask - how come they are under the porch?

This is from the house we rented for my family get together on Topsail Island. I guess the liked it better than gravel.

Nice shots/shells.

If I have to pick a favourite then its nr3. It has got the most color (imho) of the bunch.
