These are just two of the shots I took by the lighthouse on Lake Michigan. One shows a strom in the distance and the other shows how the lake has receded over the years...

These are not the best, I took them with 35MPH wind gusts. You should note that the Tree line in the second one is where the lake was at one time and in the other one it is where the uncut grass is sticking up was where the lake was...

Hi Again,

This is the second one.

So what's happening with the lake? I have read about and seen pictures of Lake Tchad and the Aral Sea, but never knew Lake Michigan was in trouble. What about the other Great Lakes?

Those are nice shots and I like what you did with the frame. I also did not know Lk Michigan was receding. Is this a long term problem or something in the last year or two?

Nice perspectives of Lake Michigan Rudy. I lived in Michigan for about three years, but was confined to the Detroit area. Never made it up to the UP (unfortunately).

If you don't mind a suggestion: You might try straightening the horizons.

At 35mph winds you have done well, great composition, I just love the sky in the 2nd.

Hi Kjell,

Well the politicians say it is no problem.... But with all of the Big cities using Lake Michigan for their drinking water it takes a toll. It also has been kind of dry the last few years. Not enough snow in the winter and not enough rain in the summer.

Lake Superior is not receding nowhere near as bad. The U.P has borders on both lakes.

Hi Jay,

You might want to look at your lake (Lake Erie) and see if it is receding. Thanks for the kind words about the shots. Critique noted...:G
