These were my attempt to do something a little more artistic with my Pentax, as opposed to my normal attempts to simply achieve focus on various insects and birds. Florida's west coast has some excellent shelling and all of these were taken on Gasparilla Island. I started out just photographing the shells where I found them but then started to pick favorites and place them where I wanted them. All of the photographs were taken the K100d and the Pentax 18-55mm kit lens, some were taken in jpeg mode and others were RAW.

Tim, it's a toss-up for me ...between 1&5...both could be used for tourism shots! The DOF is awesome...great series!!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing!

Tim, this is a great idea that worked out just as great.

For me 1 and 6 are my favourites.
Nr5's dof is great but I'm missing detail in the shells there.

as first said,

Great idea and shots
