I did see that one and there was a similar one about what a "Pentaxian" is. It almost looked like the copy writer had been hanging out on this forum.

Cute Ad. I will still go on record and say that it has not made a good sports camera. I am not talking about the single shot variety. Any camera can do that. I guess I would be told that if I want something faster to go and use a camcorder, but honestly I enjoy getting sequence shots of sports action. Pentax doesn't yet have that.

Hi All,

If anyone's interested, all of the "Pentaxian" ads can be seen at Ned Bunnell's blog here -- they're all pretty good:

http://nedbunnell.blogspot.com/2007/...-campaign.html

Ned's the VP of Marketing at Pentax Imaging, USA, and the one who originally wanted to include the term "LBA" into their ad campaigns. I was fortunate to score a few official LBA stickers from him with a e-mail bribe of a couple of pics -- a very nice guy. . .

Saw it and loved it... My wife doesn't even care about Photography and still appreciated the ad.
