ok, so it's not a "real" safari.. it was the kilamanjaro safari attraction at disney's animal kingdom. so it's not the most natural habitat.. but i think i got a couple alright shots out of it

that's a hippo, not a croc or alligator, hehe

an interesting, yet photogenic, expression on this guy's face

a meerkat keeping a lookout for the others in the burrow..

Nope -- I see the img icon appear momentarily, then they just disappear using FF.

Those are nice shots. I assume from the Spanish moss behind the giraffe that this is the Florida Disney park (I don't even know if they have one at Disneyland in CA)? That is only a couple hours from my place; we have season passes that will be good again in Sept. If this is the "jeep" safari ride I am thinking of you did especially well, our vehicle was moving so quickly and bouncing so much I don't think I got any decent shots at all.

thank you.

only the giraffe shot was taken on the jeep safari ride.. and yes, that thing is a monster as far as stability goes. i was bouncing all over the place in the last row.. the rest were exhibits.

Very expressive faces on all three shots! Looks like the Giraffe is trying to say something!!

Yes, Disney sells season passes for Florida residents that have a blackout period for the whole summer. Florida residents wonder who the heck wants to go to Disneyworld in the summer anyhow? :-) Someday I am going to retire and move north!
