This is one of the most interesting threads I have read here. Interesting because are so much MORE interesting than much of what is regularly posted. I really like Daniel's lightpole, it is the kind of shot I would expect to see in an a photography book in the chapter on color. Ira's teacher portrait is truly excellent and says so much more about the subject than a simple portrait would. Hayward's shower head, Fred's old door, Glenn's half finished project, Dawg's screw; I know I am missing some but I can only review the second page as I type this, these are really good shots. I don't knw what the subject title should be, but boring these ain't.

Looking through my recent photos I picked two to submit. This first one is of a small ladies pocket watch that one of my neighbor's asked me to photograph so he could list it on ebay.

And this is a photograph of hurricane shutters installed on one of my windows. This was my early summer project and I had to send photos to the insurance company to get a small discount. Now THIS is a boring shot (and yes, my house needs a good pressure washing).
