Driver - you probably should resize your picture to something like 700 pixels wide - that way it shows up in the database instead of having to click on it, or having to scroll from side to side. I really like the picture, by the way.

I took today off for no particular reason, just to catch up on some sleep and to take some pictures. I thought this one fit into this topic pretty well - it's the first time I've seen a water connection painted blue. K10, DA*50-135.

Ira,
The slightly blurred lens cap looks odd/uncommon. Does it look like a drain hole at the bottom? I do not think I saw one before. Maybe an older style cap?

You did try to take some boring stuff with your not so boring *zoom. At F3.5 .It seems to have rough bokeh at its extreme FL at 135mm. That is expected though. Maybe in another thread, you can let us know if the roughness goes away between 100-110mm.

I believe that is a "Cap-Keeper" It attaches the cap to a string that is attached to the barrel of the lens, toprevent lost/misplaced lens caps.

A lanyard mount as Inn said. Got one on a Vivitar lens.

Daniel, I was using a very shallow DOF (50mm f1.7 lens) and the lens cap is just a generic model with a "cap-keeper" attached. I have a habit of losing lens caps so most of mine are tethered to the lens, not terribly convenient but at least I get to keep the lens cap.
