This picture is especially for Roy - I'm sure he'll appreciate it. I happen to be out of town andwas takingthe opportunity to try myhand at taking pictures of neon lights at dusk. This picture was irresistable, even processed on my lousy laptop monitor. The shutter speed was too slow to capture the mainsubject in the picture, who's 10 weeks old and very squirmy.

Further down the street I spotted this fellow coming out of a store. Not sure about the white balance on this because I'm on my laptop and the picture was taken as the sun was going down.

Guess I either didn't read the sign or else I don't follow directions terribly well (the guys are models for a photographer).

A place down the street from where I found the Boston Terrier, and across the street from where we ate dinner.

The place we had dinner.

In some ways I was disappointed with this venue for photography - I didn't want to stay late enough to take pictures of the light and sound show (their first show is at 8:30 in the summer) and the speakers they have mounted all over interfere with trying to photograph the historic neon signs of the area.

Wow, what wonderful colours.

So where was that??? Just where you are based and neon.... Vegas somewhere?

EDIT....OOPS from the others clearly it was.

Very nice stuff..... and zoomed in on dog might be fuzzy, but still nice catch, and at that framing look nice.

Very nicely done, Harriet-

Your excellent photos give us sort of a flavor of somewhat wacky Las Vegas. They certainly don't seem to lack for photo material in that town.
