Chama Days - Firefighters

I spent 3 days taking pictures of our yearly Chama Days Celebration for the Village.

Firefighters learning the rules of the barrel contest

The idea is to get the barrel over to the other sides mark on the wire

The team on the right is looking gooood

Ooooops

Team on the left making a come back

Thanks Rodney, they were fun to watch and I only had to move one time to not get soaked.

Good thing that they have the opportunity to practice with something this fun, rather than working to put out a fire for real. Nice series.

Our department is all volunteers and they spend a lot of time practicing. We are pretty lucky to have such a devoted bunch.

Also lucky not to have a major fire taking up their time and effort (says someone who's now downwind from one).
