I really like the first one, not just because of the Deep Thoughts from Jack Handy. The lighting on the angle is just right to convey not only the ultra smooth and delicate texture of the rose but the fine hairs on the leaves are centralized giving a textural contrast to the petals.

Although Jack Handy stole this one from the Afterword in Omni magazine from years prior it's still one of my faves, "It's terrible that a family can be torn apart my something as simple as..Wild Dogs."

Both are nice, the first one really nice. I've more or less given up shooting red flowers - they never look right, while yours do.
