Don't know if anyone has donethis, but I have an old Ricoh XR10 and I was wondering how hard it would be to make the focusing screen fit the *istDS? Anyone tried it?

i haven't tried it but my split focus screen was made out of a minolta screen. i would think all you have to do carfully mill the screen down to the right dimensions. other than the THICKNESS , it seems pretty straight forward. give me a little bit and i'll post a pic as i'm not using it now.

i'd think that if you were into jewelry that a small grinder would work. the hard part would be the little tab on the edge. see pic.
using my not very costly calipers this measures out to
thickness = .056''
width = .80''
height = .66''
what have you got to loose??
