I know it`s crazy but, when a good offer comes my way I just can`t resist.

This summer I bought a Tamron 28-300mm brand new. Great lens but can you really get enough tele power? One guy I know wanted my tokina 100-300mm (can**) and offered a Itorex 500mm reflex lens. Since I never use my Can** film Slr any longer I said OK. Here is two shots I did just to test it.

Ofcourse it`s not a brilliant sharp lens, but I hope it can bring me closer to a pair of peregrin falcons I found this summer.

Thanks Roy.

Nice PP. I`ll come back when I find my tripod again :roll:These two were taken hand held so they got a little blurry.

750mm. hmmm... where did I put my manfrotto???

that's weird. the exif reports f0 and focal of 20mm

i think you may have found something with some promise. lets see what it'll do with your falcons.

If a lens does not have the "A" electronic contacts it reports as F0 on my K100 if I recall correctly. The focal length is determined by whatever you enter (for the shake reduction) when you first turn the camera on with the lens attached. If you don't change it, it defaults to the last entry you made.

Shots don't look better than I had expected, but I would really like to see some real life shots with this lens. Not a bad trade either
