I hope it is not frowned upon to reference one of Steve's forums in another. Rather than post a lot of images here, I posted them there http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fo...jump_to=788826 .

Take a look and see what you think.

These shots really suit B/W, Ira.

Was that the original intention, to shoot B/W?

Nice to see a good B/W series.

Very nicely done. I was just in Canada for a couple weeks at the end of July. My wife is from there.

I could spend weeks just shooting old barns and such.

I don't see why it would be, if you had not posted the link, I would have missed some great shots.

Wonderful pictures! I love the first picture of a house that said "New Perlican house..." My first thought was how could that house be new?! Then it occurred to me that the town it was located in was New Perlican. Out of curiosity, is there still a town there or is it a ghost town? It looks like a lovely, but lonely area. Or is it just your wonderful pictures that give that feeling?

I'm a sucker for black and white... really like all of them, especially the selective coloring with the Canadian flag.

New Perlican is still a small village but it was once a bustling town. Many examples of abandoned buildings exist around the Newfoundland coast.

Thanks, I will post more examples later.

Ira

I Like all the photos. They are well suited To Black and white. My favorite is the Lighthouse
