I bought this lens some time ago, on a whim and have only used it once.

Took it out last week (or week before) and used for a couple of hours after work.

Nice lens, small and compact, but sharp enough for me.

C&C welcome.

I am at work at the moment, I will post more details tonight, but I think it is the f3.5 one with a 52 or 55mm filter diameter.

It is actually this lens

That's the good walk about size. Seems to shoot pretty good to me. I have now two 80-200 Vivitars one a PK/A and one a converted Yashica/Contax that are really nice for this. As you said light and sharp. Have you tried Macro's with it? Oh yeah...Just got this one for a mount conversion...As I suspected there are a lot of Minoltas needing a remount and a good home.

No macros yet, but it is nice that there is virtually no lens creep, unlike the 28-200mm I got and modified Saturday.

Tip it off the horizontal and Bam you're at full zoom.

Bloody heavy as well on the K10D with grip and Sigma 500 Flashgun!! Stretches the camera strap to the limit.

I like the Young reference - don't hear much these days.

The mod was a simple one, thanks to the experts on this forum

Remove baffle and grind down pin.

Thanks Roy.

Just need some nice weather to try out the 28-200 to see if it is as good.
