Doesn't even say for sure what focal length...The answer he/she gave means nothing....What does going digital have to do with this lens?? It still works on a lot of Digital cameras....Sounds like they are selling nothing and expecting to get some money for no product.? Sent a question in ...maybe the answer will help out.

Folks,

Going ditigal may mean a lot of things including a person going to a P&S camera, and it seems that the person does not really know what lens he/she has. It could be a great bargain, like finding something in a flea market, or it could be totally bust.

My personal opinion is that this person is not very well versed in cameras, and probablely does not realise that Pentax film camera lenses are compatible with Pentax dslr.

Just my two cents worth.

Best regard,

At a guess, I would say 80-200mm KA mount.

Fortunately going to digital always requires buying new lenses, so the old ones can be used by fools like us!!! LOL

Hi Roy,

Well this person needs a couple of pics of this lens forsale. As it would be a chancey purchase. Maybe this editied pic will help show some of the specs. I did it from their pic.

I went back today and they did post that it was a 70-210 lens. I also took the time to look around at what's available at the moment (all right - I've more or less decided that I'd prefer the 12-24, but wouldn't mind picking up a 10-17 for absolute peanuts - I wouldn't use it enough to justify spending anything on it). What rather amazed me was not the people selling lenses that they appear to know nothing about, but how many are pitching stuff to Pentax users that are general-use accessories, such as add-on close-up lenses (not dioper filters). I would have thought they would be more popular with the fixed lens people who don't have other options. Got depressed when I saw how much the 10-17 has sold for recently - not cheap enough for me to pick up what would just be a novelty lens.

Clueless!!! It appears that they read somewhere that Takumar was the brand name for screw mount Pentax lenses, however no-one told them that Takumar-A meant A-series K-mount consumer grade Pentax lens.

Go-figure.

Roy - when you edited your post, the software did "interesting" things to the link...
