Probably the last chance for some sun whilst they are still alive, so went out armed with my Sigma 70-300 APO DG Macro lens.

Worked better than I hoped, but still needs some use to get used to it.

Hopefully you will agree these are better than the last lot (except for the last photo of the last lot)

Not a great shot, but liked the different angle and the detail in it's wings and carapace... abdomen... back bits...

Liked the bokeh of the background, made me think it looked like an advertising shot, with a text box on the left.

Thanks all, I didn't think they were that good!

I think I will pick up a set of macro extension tubes or a +1 or +2 lens, give me that little bit extra reach. I have a +4 already but it's 55mm thread and this lens is 58mm.
