took the new 300 out for a walk. these aren't too good so i'm posting as 'almosts'. i'm still learning what this lens will do. what works for it what doesn't. unfortunately no wildlife present. try again today.

I like the colors. The lens seems to have plenty of contrast. Have a great time with it!

DOF is really tiny, isn't it? The colors are excellent, the lens is sharp, but I can imagine that it would be frustrating to use at times.

P.S. I like the last 2.

DOF is tough especially close up. i'm starting to get use to the focus. the range of the focus ring is tight at a little over a third of a revolution. i've put my optech strap(ordered another)on it and it's real easy toting it now.

Were these free-hand? It is a heck of a lens to shoot unsupported.
