I think it's Oct. 1st everywhere, so entries are now closed for this month's challenge. Voting is officially open and will be open until Friday night, midnight. Whoever the winner is will be officially announced Saturday afternoon, Pacific time (I'm not sure what I'll be doing that day so don't want to commit to a definite time).

There have been a number of photos that have been changed, so before voting make sure you go back and review the entries. I thought I knew which one I was going to vote for, but there have been so many outstanding pictures posted, I want to review them all again on my better monitor at home before I vote.

But don't let that stop you from voting now.

what's this a detail of?? it's a frog.. i guessit could represent the whole amphibian genus. there's a lot of good shots here but many don't fit the criteria set down..

no offense meant..
Roy,
It is Harriet's competition so I reckon it is up to her, but I think I have as much crayfish (percentage wise) as Corpsy has frog, he just chose the other end.

This is the toughest so far, I put Robar's hard drive first, but Eddie OM35, Mark's "Rust", Harriet's fence wire and Roger's stirrup are all very good. This has been a very productive month. Daniel, you are showing some very nice BIF shots, well done.

Please don't "needle" me for this, but my vote also goes to Ira.Great composition, and the B/W is perfect for the vintage. Close second to the trumpet players, but I thought the phono needle fit the assignment (details) better.

I'm having a very hard time making up my mind - there's just too many good entries. I really like the color of Fred's fence and Roy's hard drive, and the detail in Corpsy's frog eye. My runner-up is Ira's needle, but I'm going to vote for Roger's cowboy tools. It's such a simple picture that packs so much meaning into it (as least to me as a former rider and horse owner).

I like Richards clock and Freds fence.

I know I'm too late and have missed out on getting any votes, serves me right for taking so long to get my act together, but I hope you don't mind if I still post just for fun.

Took me some time but I finally settled for one. Between Ira's needle, WackyRogers cowboy foot and a200users confusing lid pattern I vote for a200user.

I've been looking at that picture over and over again, and it keeps changing popping out or in.Normally I don't fancy abstract patterns, but this is sowell composed andexposed I can't refuse it.

Honorary award to inneyeseakayefor choice of subject.
