This one reminds meon the one handof a roulette wheel and on the other a sea anemone - the radial filaments resemble tentacles - kind of creeps me out. I moved this here from the other thread because it is so different - the other one ("lavender Lady"http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fo...mp;forum_id=80 ) reminds me of one of those alien space ships on the old SF series "Babylon 5," which may have been the best SF series ever done.

Some of themare really bizarre, Harriet- search Google Images for "Passion Flower" to see some of the many varieties that have been developed, and then search "Passiflora" to see some of the other species in the Genus. People who are fascinated by the variety of flowers will collect orchids, Begonias, and others, but I can't imagine collecting these, because the vines are so vigorous, you might think they will eat you alive! But you can collect photographs, so go to botanic gardens andflower shows and snap away - they are ceretainly photogenic..
