Here are my pictures, taken today - the first day of autumn. Remember that these were taken in sunny Southern California, and this is September. A year ago around this time we were evacuated due to the Day Fire. Today the weather is a bit different:

These were all taken with the K100:

Posted only because I like this one - doesn't offer much for describing the weather.

Another one. By the way, none of these have been converted to b&w - these are actually the full color versions.

Last one - the sun did come out a bit to highlight the beautiful white world (these were taken between 7,000 - maybe 8,000 feet elevation)

It's been warm enough here that your pics look refreshing. Really like #2

I understand why you like #3, and I do too. Can't put my finger on why (need a course on picture analysis). Maybe it's the combination of colour, contrast and composition?:-)

How convenient that you -who like snow - get an early foretaste of winter while I, who feel bestolen (does that word exist, is it understandable?) of a summer, seem to get a few late last summer days this weekend.

Nice series, but really like the lineplay in nr3.

Just the idea that these are colour gives a complete different feel.

It's a nice series, but there's something about #2 that just grabs me. After the consistent heat of August and September, these shots look so inviting, especially that white stuff (I don't remember what it's called.)

Perhaps you could label the first few "Natural desturation". Well done.
