Roger, good idea for the challenge! Now with this one compared to the saddle, the color works for me better. I guess it may just the predominence of the "blue" jeans & then the subtle details of the rope, stirrup & horse. Just me.

As far as the work boot, I'm thinking practicality. Cowboy boots can be a pain if you do a lot of walking & the soles are usually slick. Maybe they're needing a little traction here & there. And not to mention, work boots are generally cheaper than cowboy boots (& they're probably trying to keep nice for Saturday nites!)

Ron I think you nailed the work boot vs cowboy boot thing. Makes sense to me.
