Hi, I am new here, a couple of years ago I retired by old MX and got a Fuji S7000, it never seem right to me, so a few days ago got myself a little used 2nd hand istDL absolutetly love it.

Here are a couple of spring shots, nice to have some DOF back again.

Both these pictures arereally nice, good use of your re-found DOF. The first one looks a little under-exposed. I don't know what you are using for post processing software, but you might try to adjust the levels/brightness a bit. It will really bring out those lovely flowers, and emphasize the small DOFeven more.

Welcome to the Friendly Pentax Forum, Cyril!

Thanks for starting off with such nice pictures of what we can look forwards to in just 8 or 9 months. I think you'll find a few people in here who agree that a Pentax DSLR is the way to go!

Thanks for the welcome, yes I agree it could be opened up a stop or more. Will have to get my primes back, when the MX packed it in (after 20yrs service) I loaned my primes (Tokina 28, PentaxM 50 1:4, PentaxM 135 2.5 all in pristine condition) to a friend. Cannot wait to get them back.
