Hi all

Let Me Start by Saying that the pictures I Am posting are not taken With Either Of My Pentax cameras. they were taken with my Work Camera a Sony DSC 650.

Heres the story. I am Sitting in My Office Thursday morning and i get a frantic call On the Nextel To Grab My Camera and Come out front. So i Grab It and Run to the front, there parked across the Road is What you see in the pictures. The Occupants Of the Vehicle are Driver Robin Williams and passenger Is John Travolta. There are Also 2 kids in the Back seat. If you look Closely in one of the pictures JT Waves At Us.
We found out Latter that they are Filming a New movie " OLD DOGS" They actually were out shaking hands A mile down the Street at a local food Shop. We talked To one of the production assistants later and they were Using this Area as it is an industrial area near the local Airport and the road they were stopped on Is a long Straight road, perfect For Shooting.

Enjoy

Phil

so that's how they get those up front and close driving scenes.

i remember many movies being shot in the French quarter in new orleans. a lot of the time they would paint the street and sections of buildings for effect. my late wife and sister worked the desk of one of the smaller hotels in the quarter(actually a old spaghetti making warehouse). we use to get a lot of freebies because of this. met a lot of celebs there. i guess the most well known was Sir Paul Mc Cartney. he and the wings group stayed there under strict security for a couple of months.

Cool pictures! Myfamily and I happened on a similar situation in Vancouver in June of 1997. My older son had just graduate college in Olympia, WA and we had gone to Vancouver for the weekend. Saw Leslie Neilsen filming "Mr. Magoo". It was interesting as we were basically across the street from them before we realized what was happening.

Cool pictures! I've never had much luck getting interesting pictures of film shoots - too much going on usually. These look like fun.
