I was up in Minneapolis for a meeting this morning. On the way home I stopped at a "local" camera shop and looked at what they had for used Pentax glass. I found a 28mm f/2.8 manual lens complete with a Pentax UV filter--cost $45.00

Here's a shot from my back yard with it.

That is a nice find. I have the M 24mm 2.8 and wouldn't sell it for that - and it's not as good a lens (the 24mm has a certain amount of barreling since it was at the edge of the film fish-eye lenses).

Hey Roy,
Is this the lens you're talking about here ?, this is one of the 4 I picked up last week in a job lot. ... All the remarks made are making me feel good. ... Jack.

Thanks for that reply Rickst, apart from a couple of test shots to check there were no serious problems ( none found ) I haven't used this lens seriously yet. It was part of a job lot of 4 lenses I bought last week, most of them said to be in need of cleaning, happily only one needed much attention, and that is OK now. the comments above re. your lens are applicable to mine also, so I'm very pleased too. ... Jack.
