Trophy at 2 1/2 years old

I posted some photos of Trophy at 1 1/2 years old last year. We all are figuring he will make the record books in about another 2 years.

He is at Elk Meadow Ranch in Mogote, Colorado

If you are driving thru Southern Colorado a tour of this ranch is fun.

Wow! He's a beaut - is his beautiful rack a result of his protected home, or is it natural?

When he was born Mike the owner of the Elk Farm called me and I went over to the ranch and Mike asked me to name him. Every time I drive by I stop in and say hi to Trophy and also Mike if he is home.

He is the result of about 8 years worth of breeding. Mike made a couple of trips to Canada to find the cow he wanted and then numerous trips to buy Bull sperm to breed her.

Roger, I don't know that much about elk but that is one magnifiscent animal. I would really like to him in 2 years like you said. Is that still considered a 6x6? Or do the brow tines & the other smaller ones get counted as well???

Thanks for sharing!
