these are looking really, really good nick! i don't know which is my favorite, all the different emotions on the kids faces are captured really well. 6,7, 12 and 13, sorry can't pick just one!

the only suggestion i have is maybe some garrison blur on chain link fence behind the catcher and batter photos. for instance the chain link fence is a blured in the last two shots, but in the first it is pretty sharp and prominent.

Wow nick, some of these are really good! I bet these kids's parents can all buy you a beer after the game in return for a print

Some very nice action shots in there, which lens was it?

I like these Inn...But likeIshino said the chain link fence takes away from the ones where it is prominent! Blurring after the fact or skinnier DOF.

The photos are nice, my only critique would probably be the watermark! I thought dog was talking about it when he said something about the chain link fence...I can't see the perverbial forest for the trees!

Thanks for the comments... This is the smallest DOF I could get with that lens. I will try adding gausion (sp) blur in CS2 next time.

As for the watermark... these are all uploaded on my webpage with the watermark and I didn't feel like reuploading them to a different service and waste more time and webspace just to post without the watermark.

Some light blur will surely help with those Inn. The watermark I understand and didn't mind it that much...They are sharp and crisp photos..Well exposed and blur free. I like them and just thought to answer the critique bell so to speak. The chainlink fence becomes the focal point because of the repetitive pattern and takes away from the main focus. If blur is a problem you could crop just a little to remove some of the fence thus removing the focal point. I have Nik Color Efex Pro and it has a really good Blur Vignette that would really work here. Keep up the really good work my friend...You are improving by leaps and bounds.

Nick, those are really nice. I like the idea of all the closeups and I especially like the little guy sliding home and the expression on the batter in number 6! The only suggestion I have, might be to take in a bit more of the whole scene. Not a lot more, just enough to show the competition. For example have the batter or some of the batter in a picture of the catcher catching a ball. Notso much that takes away from the beauty of the close up, but just enough to show the game. Othewise those are really well done.
