Thanks Rodney...If I had to pick one that or the last would be the ones...The color of the water at that angle was just perfect.

Number six wins it for me, although his girlfriend #4 would have if her whole tail was in the shot. Yeah the boys are more brilliant, but you managed to get a perfect exposure of her revealing all those lovely shades of brown. Hard to do.
It was hard to get those brown colors and the sky reflection on the water gave it the perfect color as well. She was swimming in and out of shadows from trees and the sun hit at just the right time to illuminate her feathers and get those colors.

Dawg, did you have to get all of your decoys off of the shelf or did ya leave a few so your wife didn't know what you were up to ??? It really isn't fair to set them out in the water & shoot them like they were real ones! Heeehhheeeee!!!

Really nice series, Dawg! You must've had a nice relaxing morning!

Ron
Lots of fun...The ducks here are friendly enough to come right up to you...Especially with a handfull of bread.

I like numbers 4 and 6 the best. What kind of lens were you using? Ducks have been my test subjects while learning to use my dSLR.
I was using the Sigma 100-300 f/4.5 lens with a Cokin Filter holder using a Cokin Polorizing filter and a Cokin A-series 120A Gradual Gray Neutral Density Filter. Also a Cokin Modular Sunshade. All photos hand held and using IS.

Here are a couple of shots of the lens and filter set.
