There is this:

http://stans-photography.info/

Also, you can search for a pdf file titled SPLOSdb that rates older Pentax lenses, based mainly on user review. I will try to attach it, but I don't know if the forum supports that kind of attachment.

Tim

Edit: Nope, won't attach. If you google it, you should have no trouble finding it.

Hi dafiryde,

In addition to Stan's and the SPLOSdb, look into Photodo (both the old and new sites) and also Photozone under equipment tests. On Photozone, there are two places to look -- under the Pentax lens heading, and also the user reviews for Pentax K mount lenses.

Another good place for information concerning 3rd party lenses is Fred Miranda's site. Although it's all Nikon and Canon, the user reviews for 3rd party lenses is pretty much right on the money for those models also available in K mount.

While your at it, look up B Dimitrov's site for the K mount cameras. He still updates it, and it contains a wealth of information on lenses(though no reviews), flashes, and accessories that are still relevant to the DSLRs.

Last but not least, once you've narrowed things down, ask on the forums. There always seems to be someone who has some first hand experience with just about anything.

There are a couple more I have gone to. The first is Shutterbug Lenses http://shutterbug.com/equipmentrevie...s/index11.html and another is Alatest http://alatest.com/Photography/?nr=1 These sites are obviously for all brands of camera, but they give some good info.

Scott mentioned Bojidar Dimitrov's page. Link is http://kmp.bdimitrov.de/index.html- it has a wealth of technical information about Pentax lenses, cameras, etc. Definitely worth reading.
