I am at a loss as to what Im doing wrong with not getting the whole photo in focus. Here is an example. Info being---exp 800 aperature F-13 iso 400 Meter center wt
spot focus and fl 250 using the Tamron 18-250 on a Pentax K100D. Advice would be appreciated.

Looks like motion blur to me (the bird is moving). A faster shutter speed (requireing alarger aperture) would have helped.

how much of a crop is this?? that will definately accentuate any motion or focus problems.

Robar---The pic has been cropped to 1800-1600 from the orignal 3008-2000. Since the hawk was just taking I thought the shutter speed would have been ample. I guess not. Too bad because a higher shutter speed would have been an easy one. Live and learn. Thanks for the replies.
