Is this typical? I am using a K110d on 2 CR-V3 batteries, I'm pushing more that 2500 pictures (no flash) and I still have a full battery indicater on the camera.

I'm pretty pleased with that!

the k110 only has the cam to power. still, that's an impressive number..

You won't get that many with rechargeables, though I do well enough that it sometimes surprises me when the camera suddenly doesn't work.

a very good alternative is the rechargeable rayovac hybrids.. good straight out of the package and after 1st use and a recharge good for 1200 shots

used crvs in my ds and they lasted ages
i never counted how many shots

and when they were not strong enough for the camera
they still powered the kitchen clock lol
