I posted to the Critiques and Techniques forum for some C&C on some PP techniques I'm using, but thought I'd share my photo here as well.

Here's my only goddaughter in her baptism dress.

Feel free to C&C here as well.

A beautiful child Jason. Looks great to me...The only thing I see is a little too much yellow in the photo. I assume you did not use a flash with this one? Then it might need a little WB change unless the warm look was what you were shooting for. If it was then you got it!!

Thanks for the reply, Dawg. Now that I look at the photo, I agree that the photo has a yellowish cast to it. Here's a re-edited version that is slightly cooler.

- Jason

EDIT: The photo I uploaded had a reddish cast. This one looks more natural.

I like this picture. The first thing I noticed was the white balance, and the second edited one addresses that. However, there's a warmth to the first one that fits the subject, so I don't know if correcting it is really the right thing to do. I guess it is, since it's the first thing I noticed about the picture.

I'm with Harriet. I don't know which one I like better. I think for a child the softness of the yellow cast is nice. At any rate she is a beautiful little girl and the shot does her justice.

I don't know which version I prefer, but she is a beautiful child, congratulations on her baptism!

Definitly a beautiful photo of a beautiful child. The warmth is fine in the first one if you were shooting for that...It gives an inspirational and ...Well...Warm feeling to the heart. The second is more discriptive of the situation and more correct in what the eye would have really seen. So the first is for the heart and the second is for the mind....I love them both!

Jason,

I really like the composition.

And as already mentioned I also like the first one better.
