Here are some shots I got while on a walk with my wife along the Wies river which starts in the Black Forest mountains and ends up dumping into the Rhine in Basel Switzerland. The light was good and the leaves have been particularly bright this year. Once we got into Basel there was a fair going on and the cow bells were on the side of one of the stalls. Make believe they are on the side of a Swiss chalet somewhere in the Alps! This first one is of a Black Lab who really loved the water in spite of the cold temperatures!

I liked the background of the reflection of the orange trees in the water on this one.

This little guy was walking on some of the rocks and I actually missed him on the rocks, but got him jumping back up on shore. It was pure luck to get him in mid-flight.

In the background you can see several smoke stacks that belong to the chemical giants Novartis and Ciba. My wife had used Ciba Vision contacs and solutions years ago and I never realize CIBA stood for Chemical Industry in Basel. I don't know what Novatis stands for!

And finally here are the cow bells. Apparently the more milk a cow give the bigger the bell they wear. I guess the weight keeps their heads closer to the grass!

Very nice Glenn, I am partial to four and six as my favorites. I love seeing the autumn colors on trees; we just turned off our air conditioning for the first time since about April.
