I have a Tamron 28 - 300 AF XR Di on an *ist DL. When I turn the camera on, I get a blinking AV indicator on the status screen near the shutter button. That's all. I can get my menu, but can't focus or even pop up the flash.

When I changed out lenses with my 80 - 200 Tamron Lens, the camera works just fine, so it must bea lens issue.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Mike

Is the Tamron lens locked in the A-position on the aperture ring or is it set on some number? It should be locked in the A-position for normal use on a DL.
