The West Coast Ladyis thesmallest of the three Lady butterflies.This onehas been around for several days, but is very flighty, and these are the only shots I have been able to get. I posted pictures of the American Lady a few weeks ago. I haven't had an opportunity to geta Painted Lady yet. (Also posted in the Wildlife forum)

Thanks, Roy. It was the Tamron 28-300 LD Macro @ 300mm on the K10D. Hand held. Don't have the originals handy for the EXIF.

i also think they might benefit from some noise reduction on the background. don't apply it to the BFs but just the background..

I think they are wonderful pictures - its a pretty butterfly. I've either seen them or a similar species on occasion.
