Here is another moon shot I did about 3 years ago. This was shot with my Panasonic FZ30, cropped and edited. I added the halo glow and the lens flare. The moon itself is untouched except for exposure adjustments. Oh, almost forgot I added the stars too. The extra zoom of the FZ30 and extreme cropping helps. I would love a 25 to 30 MP camera even if that extra resolution doesn't translate in to more detailed prints. I love extreme cropping, lots of fun.

Very nice other than the color cast. I don't know why but I like moons in black and white better than color. Fortunately that is easy to do.

I haven't shot this moon phase but here is one from a couple months ago.

K100D Sigma 100-300 F4 @300mm F4 iso200 1.3 sec.
