Cool series, David. Lots of good moon shots here, I just might go out and try my hand again, there's only been a couple that I've taken that I've thought were good.

Here is one I shot last night. It is a foggy moon. Again done with the Pentax 50-200 with a -2 exposure compensation. DNG, Adjusted in ACR 4.3.

Not a lot of moon detail though you can see shadows of the moon detail, but it is still a nice image. I decided not to do noise it as I liked the gritty look.

I want to thank everyone for sharing their moon shots. All of them were great, inspirational and it is nice to know that NASA isn't the only one that can shoot the moon!

I thought I'd give the moon another try - this thread has been fun. So this morning at around 6 I took pictures of the moon with the K100 and the A*300, handheld.
