Througha window (and a snowstorm)

Yes it is here too, 5" two days ago and another 5" for today if the forcast is correct. In this weather the birds seem happy to see the bird feeder go back up, now that the bears are sleeping for the winter.

That first one is wonderful. He looks like he's saying "what is this white stuff?"

Our weather is going to be extremes this week - this past Saturday it didn't get above freezing at the house, today there's red flag warnings in the mountainsfor high winds, low humidity and warm to hot tempertures (70s and 80s Fdepending on location). Friday they are talking about a significant (well, significant for us since we've been in a draught for over a year) storm and snow levels below us. Typical California autumn.

You had those through the window? I suppose it is still not extremely cold there to shoot outside yet. But I do not underestimate the weather there

Harriet,

Birds in NFD know the white stuff quite well if they have not migrated.

We had a snowstorm one day when I lived in Georgia. Probably just a dusting if I remember correctly. But, it shut everything down. Well, everything except where I worked. They came and picked us up at our homes. Now I've got about 6" out there and more coming during the week!

Good shots, Ira. Yes, the first two seem to show him/her saying "what happened to my area? Get this stuff out of here."

Ira,

It is confirmed from my home lcd monitor that they were taken through the window. Cool shots.
How do you find the M200mm you just got? Maybe you can do some indoor workout of it. It has very high reputation indeed

Those poor guys look cold. I don't miss that weather much. I am about to get a week of it at Christmas in Ontario.

It always seems I am heading north while everyone else is heading south!

2nd that. we're suppose to hit 80f this week sometime. it'll probably snow the next day tho. weather is weird here.

ira, the M200/4 is a great lens. had mine since '78.. it's still pristine.. i really like it with ETs for a 1:2.94(3) macro. just right for those big bugs that tend to be nasty..

It is still snowing right now, we have had quite a bit in the past few days, I'll try to get a shot to show the result.

Daniel, the M 200mm f4 is super sharp I really like it.
