OK, I finally have my idea for peace: A boy, his dog, a fishing pole and a sunny afternoon. Yes, I was standing in the lake to take the shot. K10d and the 18-55mm kit lens.

Still a couple days left to get your entries in!

Tim

This would have been my entry had I brought my K100D to the hospital instead of my KM A200, but I thought I'd post it anyway, as my new grand daughter exemplifies peace to me.

Beautiful, Amherst. I was wondering if someone was going to post along those lines. That was one of my thoughts to post a photo of my new grandson, but I haven't seen him in the past 90 days.

Congratulations on the addition to the family.

Thanks Patty, we are blessed that my son and wife are only 10 minutes away. 90 days without seeing a grandchild; my heart goes out to you.

Here's our two together.

a200user - What a beautiful photo of your grandkids. You are blessed. I'm working on my husband to try to get us down there or them up here soon. We are missing so much of his development. He'll probably be walking by the time we see him.

Jelpee - A nice photo. We have a painting above our fireplace of my husband's classmates from West Point names from the wall. It isa sad memory for him.

I almost forgot to enter a shot for this.

Here is a pic from one of the more peaceful places I know. My wife's parents farm in Ontario.

Been waiting all month to catch this hound in a particular sleepinig position she has. When finally I did, she rolled over just as I was framing the shot. Best to let sleeping dogs lie, as they say. Not much of a picture, but just to participate (it is serene in its own way) - 9:23 PM Pacific Time, 12/31. Happy New Year to all.

Thanks everyone who participated in this challenge, I enjoyed seeing your many different ways to express "Peace" and we have some excellent shots that do this in ways I would never have thought of. Best of all, I think I learned something (not that this is unusual on our forum). So now, I guess we let the voting begin!

Aesthetically, I like Ed's lighthouse, but I think Kjell and Patty best express the seasonal aspect of the topic. I will go with Patty's night shot for it's originality.
