time for new batteries - any recommendations? i currently use 2400 NI-MH and im not too happy with them as they drain pretty quick.

what can i switch to?

will these work well?

any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

I used to use rechargeables, but for the past 6 months have been using the CR3V's and have been pleasantly surprised at the life. I change batteries about once every 3 months (based on my light to moderate use). They are about $10 a piece; however, when ever Walgreen's has a special I load up on several packages at $10 per set of 2. I have nothing against the rechargeables; I just seem to prefer the CRV3's.

cheapest i have seen for the rayovac hybridshave been $8.97 for a 4-pack at wal-mart. roy, do you know of a cheaper source?

the price at circuitcity.com for the eneloops for an 8-pack is $14.96, or $7.48 for 4 batteries.

the rayovac hybrids, duracell precharged, and eneloops are all the same battery type, so any of those will do. which ever you can find at the lowest cost.

Just bought an eight pack of Eneloops at CC for $17.99. My Eveready's would only hold a charge for three days. So far still on the first four.

i use to be so worried about batteries before i switched and now i'll go out without a backup set. the set i used in my fuji s7000 that my wife uses went 7 months before it needed a recharge.. what a concept...
looks like a really good price at CC. i'd go get a set but the 4 sets i've got give me plenty peace of mind.. another concept..

I have gotten good results from 2650mAh Duracell NiMH (2500mAh Energizers were toast after about a year of use). I will look out for the Rayovac Hybrids, they sound like a good choice.
