I was thinking about waiting for the next Pentax offering, but at close to $550 after rebate I've been taking a harder look at the k10d.

I've seen some posts regarding the jpeg sharpness... is this a real issue? Some say that if you change the default settings it helps a lot, but I can't find any posts on what to change the settings to? I shoot jpeg a lot so this is important to me.

I know this camera is very well recieved, but has anyone found any issues with it?

Thanks
Dan

There is nothing wrong with jpg images in any Pentax DSLR, that is all I shoot.

No sharpness problems at all. I've compared my photos to several friends that shoot with C's and F's and the sharpness of my K10D is as good or better in JPEG....That is all I shoot in.

This one is with the 18-55 Kit lens.

Thanks guys for your reply. I use the k110d now and don't have any issues with sharpness so I thought the k10d can only be better. I was just kinda surprised when I read that.

Dawg, how did you do that pic? it's really cool!

I don't think there's much of a problem.

I just added a K10d to my K100d and I love it. I have no complaints with either camera.

I originally bought a DS and now have both the K10 and the K100. I don't find much difference in image quality between the K10 and K100. If you like the jpg quality from your K110, you'll not have a problem with the K10. It's a better camera in the sense that it allows for better control over the camera, and it has SR (a very nice addition). The extra mp are nice sometimes, but if you take the same picture, with the same settings, resize them to the same size, they will look about the same to me. Get the K10 now and have a great time with it.

$550 after rebate, that's a no-brainer to me, get the K10D! The new K20D I assume will be more than twice that.

The only issue I have withthe design ofthe K10Dand it is a very, very small issue is that I wish there was a more positive lock on the switch for AF-S, AF-C and MF. Sometimes I accidently switch it unknowingly. But that is more the way I hold my camera when I am shooting and only with certain lenses.
