No. They only have all of those controls to give your buyer a sense of power. I am King of the World... that I can see when the flash fires!

What would you like to see. This is my first add-on flash unit (30 cameras over the years and my first flash unit.)

There have been talk about this Promaster flash doing pTTL in addtion to of course Pentax and Sigma flash. Can you tell us if the exposure is consistant for different apertures and shutter speed?
Does it give a preflash prior to the main flash?
You may go to one of small room (say bathroom) and turn off all light. Fire up the flash and camera and see if it can talk properly exposed pict? Your built in flash can do that.
The example flash shots you gave above are really not conclusive at all
